Velvet was founded in 2014 by Diana Reyes, a Vidal Sassoon-trained colorist who believed Boston deserved a salon that treated every client like a long-term relationship, not a transaction. No upselling. No rushed appointments. No stylist who doesn't listen. We're a small team — by design — so every chair is occupied by someone who genuinely cares about your hair and your time.
